東京大学では2023年から2025年の間、学術出版社3社（Wiley, Springer Nature, Oxford University Press）と、学術誌の「転換契約」を試行しています。
2024年4月からは、Elsevierとも転換契約の試行を開始することになりました。
転換契約はAPCと購読料を包括的に契約することにより、全体の経費を抑制しつつ、論文のOA化をより推進するものです。

UTokyo is piloting a "Transformative Agreement" for academic journals with three academic publishers (Wiley, Springer Nature, and Oxford University Press) from 2023 to 2025.
From April 2024, Elsevier will join this trial.
The conversion agreement is a comprehensive contract for subscription fees with APC, which reduces overall costs and further promotes OA of articles.
